turned a few corners, and ended up in front of a large glass window that was overlooking the student parking lot which was packed with students who had managed to escape the massacre the first time around.
"On my signal," Michael said, point his gun at the crowd. The other three followed.
It didn't take long for a lone student in the crowd to notice the four gunmen, and she pointed up at them, grabbing every student's attention she could.
When Michael was sure at least thirty students had spotted him and his crew, he opened fire, and so did the rest of his gang. The glass window shattered, and bullets whizzed out the four friend's gun barrels at what seemed like the speed of light.
Students in the parking lot began to scatter and scramble, trying to escape and hide as bullets struck other students around them, sending blood everywhere, and causing bodies to tumble onto the asphalt like an avalanche. This time though, the gunmen didn't fire one, but two clips each into the crowd, and when it was all said and done, another eighty one innocent students had lost their lives.
"Okay, that's enough," Michael said, turning toward his companions. "It's time to go. Follow me!"
The group followed behind Michael as he jogged back down the stairs, and out of the emergency exit right next to them, which the led to the back of the school. Michael had parked a truck there prior to the day's events so that no faculty member, or student could see it.
"Toss your stuff in the bed," Michael demanded. "I have suitcases packed back there as well. I reserved a flight to Australia and it leaves in forty two minutes, we have to MOVE!"
The four gunmen tossed their vests, guns, and ammo into the back like Michael demanded, and climbed into the truck with Vince and Jonathan in the backseat, Seth in the passenger, and Michael driving, and as they made their way into the thick forest behind the school, which had a back trail only a few people knew about. Several police sirens could be heard pulling into the parking lot on the opposite end of the school, too late to stop the destruction that had already been done in just seven short minutes.
As the four drove down the dirt path through the woods, and finally out onto a run down coutnry road, not a word was spoken. Not because there was nothing to say, but because the plan had fallen together perfectly. No mercy was shown, none of the friends had been injured, and, most importantly, the damned students who were lucky enough to survive go the message.
The four guys were perfectly satisfied with themselves, and each other.
After cruising down the quiet street for about a mile, Seth spotted an old church off to the side, and in front of it sat an old man, most likely the preacher, who was holding a large stack of pamphlets. There were no other buildings around, so Seth turned to Michael and said, "Hey, stop the truck for a second."
Michael was reluctant, but obeyed. "What the hell are you doing," he asked as Seth opened the passenger door and stepped out.
"This will just take a second Michael, trust me."
Seth then casually approached the old preacher, and took a long look at him for a few seconds before pointing to the stack of pamphlets he was holding. "Can I have one of those," Seth asked in an innocent voice.
The preacher readjusted the glasses he was wearing before looking at Seth directly in the eye and asking, "Are you a sinner?"
Seth took a long look at the preacher before adjusting his gaze to the clouds above and finally down to the grass below. It looked as though he was pondering, but anyone who knew Seth personally could tell you he was far from pondering.
Seth finally turned his gaze back on the preacher and with a slight smile, silently answered, "Sometimes."
The preacher returned with a smile as well, and handed Seth a church pamphlet, who slowly took it from the preacher's grasp. "God Bless" he said before returning to his three friends in the truck.
"What was that all about," Vince asked as Seth climbed back into the vehicle.
"Oh, I just need to ask for forgiveness," Seth answered without the slightest hesitation.
"I can't believe you fall for that religious crap," Jonathan replied. "I taught students for eight years, and not a day went by that I didn't pray to the fictional God above. All he did was give me almost a decade of hell, that forced me to do something like this. Fuck God!"
"I hear you," Vince remarked. "I taught high school for eleven years, and never before had I been put through so much torment. I'm telling you, teenagers are the goddamn spawn of Satan himself."
The three nodded in agreement, and finally Vince asked, "By the way, Michael, where exactly are we going? This doesn't look like the road to the airport."
"First we're heading to a secluded spot in the woods," Michael replied, putting the truck in drive. "I dug a large hole there at about five this morning for us to bury our gear in so that no one will ever find it."
"Well holy shit, Michael," Jonathan laughed. "You have got to be the most tactical man I’ve ever known."
Michael didn't reply.
The silence was soon interrupted by Seth, who had at this point, slipped the church pamphlet into his pocket. Well, I can tell you one thing," he said. "I don't know what you three plan to do in Australia, but I can sure as hell bet you won't be teaching students anymore!"
And the four teachers laughed as they continued down the road to go bury the evidence.
